Innovation Unplugged has selected SAP’s SAP Cloud Platform (SAPCP) as PaaS.
Why SAP?
While SAP may have entered the public cloud scene rather late it now already offers a compelling platform. Look at the APIs and Microservices with business functionality that it provides. Combine this with its commitment to the industry standard Cloud Foundry DevOps platform and you have a platform that provides architects and developers with choice. Choice in terms of which development language to use, choice between developing, using existing open source services or using SAP’s APIs or Microservices.
With its Multi Infrastructure approach that allows deployment in SAP datacenters, on the Google Cloud Platform, on Azure or on AWS it also offers choice and flexibility at the infrastructure level.
This is not the end yet. With SAP Leonardo, SAP provides an innovation system to create business innovation models. SAP Leonardo provides a platform with tools that span from design thinking support to rapid prototyping support, which then can evolve to product development to, eventually, deployment for production.
And yet, SAP Leonardo provides, next to design thinking services, even more architecture and development choice. While they can decide to develop themselves or use other vendors’ services, Leonardo offers developers a rich selection of IoT connectivity and management services, Blockchain services, Big Data services, Machine Learning and Analytics services. Digital Assistant, SAP CoPilot (part of SAP Fiori 2.0), completes the pallet of modern digital services.
With acquisitions like Altiscale, PLAT.ONE and Fedem Technology, which makes Digital Twin services real, SAP is scaling up its PaaS offering rapidly.
At Innovation Unplugged we believe that the SAP Cloud Platform will deliver what it takes to make our ambitions come true!
