Innovation Unplugged and Enginity demonstrate a representative example of monitoring and data gathering from manufacturing equipment and from connected goods. The latter represent upstream and downstream supply chain material as well as connected goods. Data gathering from all sources and processes involved, correlating them, integrating them and learning from them through analysis lays the foundation for making processes predictive.
Using Advantech equipment and SAP Cloud Platform, Innovation Unplugged and Enginity connect assembly and parts manufacturing floor models, and a supply chain material component model. Demonstration use cases are, among others:
- Monitor the inventory of parts from the Parts Manufacturing floor on the Assembly Floor. When running low action is triggered on the Parts Manufacturing floor
- Monitoring supply chain material availability and action triggering when running low
- Monitoring of equipment status and issuing a ticket in the event of failure
- Summarized performance status KPIs are displayed on a Management Dashboard
